Campus Kjeller AS
The mission of Campus Kjeller is to initiate and drive the commercialization process of research ideas and technology from the Kjeller Science Park. Our vision is to be the preferred partner in Norway for innovation and commercialization of technologies, with focus on Energy, Environmental Technologies and Societal Safety.
Our primary objective is to facilitate the innovation process and execute on commercialization initiatives from the five major Norwegian Research Institutes – NGI, NILU, IFE, NORSAR and FFI as well as from the university colleges in the region.
The Campus Kjeller advisor team, our process tool Campus4Kommerce™, an extensive network of industry partners, access to public funds and private growth capital turn research ideas into internationally successful companies. Campus Kjeller has since our start in 1995 been involved in the creation of more than 60 companies and 26 technology licenses.
Generating and screening ideas
Identification and screening of research ideas to establish business potential. These processes are carried out in cooperation with the research institutes and IPR-owners. First assessment of scale and resources needed to commercialize the idea.
Commercialization
IPR (Intellectual Property right) and patent evaluation.
Business plan development.
Verification of technology and proof of concept.
Technology value assessment, market assessment, pilot customer identification and seed funding.
Preparing for either a technology license or formation of company.
Incubation
Recruitment of management team and management guidance.
Introducing the company to key customers, industrial partners and markets both domestic and international. Preparing the company for further growth through precise positioning of the company in the industry value chain.
Value development
Assisting portfolio companies with follow-up and expansion capital using own funds or taking a lead role in raising money using external funds and investors. Planning for and executing value realization through exit
Campus4Kommerce™
Campus Kjeller has developed a unique ISO-certified process for increasing the productivity and efficiency of the commercialization process – Campus4Kommerce™. Our process and methodology guarantees efficient and high quality business development in all parts of the innovation value chain from idea inception through commercialization, incubation to exit. By developing a cooperative interphase system, the Campus4Kommerce™ will be an engine in the innovation ecosystem of the whole Kjeller Science Park area.
